EHS Lead- Leinster

€60,000- 65,000 DOE + Car + Package

We are assisting an established and rapidly growing engineering services contractor in their search for experienced and proactive EHS Lead to oversee all aspects of environmental, health and safety programs within the organisation to be working in the company's projects in Leinster. The company is focused in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection division and also offers additional top notch services that includes Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Establish, implement and manage comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and company policies.

  • Knowledgeable in updated EHS issues, trends and develop strategies to address them proactively.

  • Observe & evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs through audits,  inspections and performance metrics.

  • Lead and support EHS workers ensuring that EHS initiatives are effectively shared and implemented in the organisation.

  • Implement measures to prevent incidents, including risk assessments and job safety analysis.

  • Oversee the management systems in accordance with ISO 45001/14001 and Safe T Cert. 

  • Report directly to EHS Manager any EHS related issues.

  • Level 7 in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or related field.

  • 6+ years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrated leadership experience is essential.

  • Mechanical background in construction sector is beneficial.

  • Proficiency in EHS softwares and tools.

  • Knowledge of updated EHS regulations & standards.

  • Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
