Our client is a leading engineering company services primarily involved in life sciences, data centres and pharmaceutical schemes with core divisions that includes Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection. The company also offers exceptional services in Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.

The need now exists for an experienced Planning Manager to join the team in Cork, Ireland. As a Planning Manager you are to lead the project planning and scheduling to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent leadership abilities and a proven track record of successfully managing and planning activities in projects.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Generate through project plans & schedules in collaboration with project stakeholders including project managers, engineers and subcontractors.

  • Interpret project milestones, deliverables and critical paths to track project timelines and development.

  • Mastery of project management softwares such as Primavera P6 to create and manage project schedules, including resource & task allocation.

  • Collaborate with project teams to identify resource requirements, including labour materials, equipment and subcontractors.

  • Assign resources effectively to ensure maximum utilisation and productivity while minimising conflicts and deficiencies.

  • Look after availability and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in project priorities.

  • Submit regular progress reports & dashboards to communicate schedule status, milestones and critical issues to project stakeholders.

  • Degree in Construction Management/ Engineering or related field.

  • Strong analytical, organisation, communication and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
