We are partnered with an established contractor committed to delivering exceptional quality, active engagement, and outstanding customer care, ensuring the highest standards across every project. Due to continued growth, the company is in need of an experienced Estimator with a general construction background. As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine the overall costs and resources required for successful project completion.     

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:    

  • Review project plans, specifications, and relevant documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates and prepare detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for resources & services. 

  • Compile, review, and submit competitive bid proposals and documents ensuring accuracy and completeness. 

  • Work closely with project teams to identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project estimates and propose reliable solutions. 

  • Provide cost control support during the project execution and help in tracking and managing project budgets and financial performance. 

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of cost estimates ensuring that all documentation is accurate & complete and prepare cost reports and forecasts for senior management. 

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of estimates and bids.  

  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favourable outcomes and agreements.  

  • Prepare required documentation for the tender submission, including cost estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, and compliance information.  

  • Degree in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying or related field. 

  • 3+ years’ experience as Estimator with main contracting background and strong knowledge of general construction. 

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.  

  • Proficiency in estimation software & tools.  

  • Effective negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.  

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
