Planner – Data Centres - Finland
Our client are a multi-national construction and engineering organisation. They are headquartered in the USA and active across Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East, with a turnover more than €6bn and 9,000 permanent employees globally. They work across a diverse range of market sectors (with a very heavy tech focus) including Data Centres, Semiconductors, Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology, Photovoltaics, Battery Plants & Speciality Chemicals. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning works.
Responsibilities
Developing and Managing the Project Schedule: The planner creates a detailed project schedule, outlining milestones, tasks, and deadlines. This includes coordinating with different teams to ensure that the construction progress is on track.
Resource Allocation and Management: The planner works with the project manager and other stakeholders to allocate resources effectively. This includes manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure that everything is available when needed and no time is wasted.
Risk Management and Mitigation: Identifying potential risks that could delay the project and developing contingency plans is a key responsibility. The planner must keep an eye on potential delays or issues that could arise, such as supply chain disruptions or labor shortages.
Tracking and Reporting Progress: The planner regularly monitors and tracks project progress against the initial schedule. This involves ensuring that deadlines are met and providing regular reports to the project manager and stakeholders on the project’s status.
Coordinating with Stakeholders: The planner communicates with different project stakeholders such as contractors, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure everyone is aligned on timelines, expectations, and deliverables.
Ensuring Compliance with Regulations and Standards: The planner ensures that the construction adheres to industry standards and regulations (e.g., safety codes, environmental regulations, building codes) throughout the project. This includes making sure that proper inspections are scheduled and that the project remains compliant.
Requirements
Must have previous experience as a Planner on a Data centre or similar large construction project
Must have knowledge of at least Primavera, Powerproject, MS Project, Excel and Word
