We are currently partnered with a Commercial Fit-Out contractor experienced in; Offices, Retro-Fitouts, Industrial, Design & Build, Food & Beverage, Retail and Leisure projects. Due to their continued success, they are actively seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dublin.
Responsibilities
Cost Estimation and Budgeting: The quantity surveyor is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for the refurbishment project. This includes assessing materials, labor, and any other associated costs. They help establish the overall project budget and monitor it throughout the project lifecycle.
Tendering and Procurement: Managing the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, inviting and evaluating bids, and selecting contractors or suppliers for various aspects of the fitout. They ensure the procurement process is transparent, competitive, and within budget.
Contract Administration: The quantity surveyor plays a key role in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts between the client and contractors. They ensure that contractual terms are adhered to and that the project progresses according to agreed terms.
Cost Control and Monitoring: Throughout the project, the quantity surveyor is responsible for monitoring expenses and ensuring costs stay within the budget. They track costs and issue regular reports, highlighting any potential overruns and advising on corrective actions.
Change Management and Variations: Managing changes or variations to the original scope of work is a key responsibility. The quantity surveyor assesses the impact of changes on cost, time, and resources, and works with stakeholders to negotiate and document variations to the original contract.
Requirements
Must have relevant Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
