We are partnered with an established contractor committed to delivering exceptional quality, active engagement, and outstanding customer care, ensuring the highest standards across every project. Due to continued growth, the company is in need of an experienced Senior Buyer with general construction background to oversee the procurement of materials and subcontracted services. As a Senior Buyer, you are strategic and detail-oriented who can effectively manage supplier negotiations, cost control, and procurement planning, ensuring timely delivery of products and services while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance. 

 Key Responsibilities & Requirements:   

  • Lead the procurement and negotiation of subcontractor packages and materials, ensuring best value and alignment with project requirements. 

  • Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluating bids and negotiating terms to secure competitive agreements. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety standards. 

  • Manage contract administration, including scope definition, pricing, and payment terms. 

  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks, making proactive procurement decisions. 

  • Ensure procurement aligns with project specifications, sustainability targets, and health & safety regulations. 

  • Work closely with relevant stake holders, project managers, quantity surveyors, and site teams to forecast and plan procurement needs. 

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and cost analyses to support financial planning. 

  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or similar qualifications. 

  • 5+ years buyer or procurement role experience within general construction. 

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, subcontract procurement, and supply chain management. 

  • Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, tendering, and cost analysis. 

  • Effective negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office products.
