Assistant Quantity Surveyor Data Centre Construction – Copenhagen, Denmark Key Responsibilities Requirements In Return, Our Client Offers This role is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Quantity Surveyor to gain exposure to high-value, technically demanding data centre projects while developing skills under the guidance of a senior commercial team.
Our client is a leading specialist data centre main contractor delivering full turnkey solutions across Europe, covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning works.
With group turnover exceeding €1.5bn and a strong order book for the next three years, they continue to expand across large-scale, mission-critical projects.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team on a major data centre development in Denmark.
The role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale, technically complex projects while supporting the senior commercial team in delivering accurate cost management and contract administration.
• Assist in the preparation and review of subcontractor packages, valuations, and variations.
• Support the monitoring of subcontractor performance against budget, programme, and contractual obligations.
• Maintain accurate cost records, reports, and documentation for review by senior quantity surveyors.
• Assist in preparing interim valuations and final accounts.
• Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation and subcontractor selection.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and senior QS team members to ensure accurate cost capture and reporting.
• Support the management of change control procedures and commercial risk tracking.
• Assist in resolving minor contractual or commercial queries under guidance from senior team members.
• Participate in site visits and support the review of works progress in relation to cost.
• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects; exposure to large-scale or technical projects is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of construction contracts, valuations, and commercial procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for cost purposes.
• Good numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with commercial management software is desirable.
• Motivated to develop professionally within a commercial team on complex projects.
