Authorised Electrical Project Manager – Hyperscale Data Centre - Copenhagen, Denmark
A leading European engineering contractor is seeking a certified Authorised Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical delivery of a hyperscale data centre project in Copenhagen. This is a critical role for a senior-level professional with the competence, certification, and authority to oversee electrical systems, ensure compliance, and manage high-risk activities in a live, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the full electrical scope on site, ensuring all installations comply with design specifications, legislation, and high-risk permitting requirements.
Act as the authorised person for electrical systems, including issuing permits, supervising LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), and ensuring safe energisation.
Coordinate and manage electrical sub-contractors, labour, materials, and scheduling to ensure programme targets are met.
Oversee installation and commissioning of systems including UPS, STS, LV/MV switchgear, busbar systems, generators, BMS, EPMS, and PDUs.
Interface with clients, consultants, and site teams to resolve technical issues, manage RFIs, and deliver project milestones.
Support the project commissioning plan and ensure systems are handed over with full compliance, documentation, and quality records.
Enforce high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance, particularly in a live facility environment.
Ensure all electrical documentation, O&M manuals, test certificates, and redlines are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
Maintain project controls, participate in weekly reporting and progress meetings, and track variations in scope.
Candidate Profile:
Qualified Authorised Person (AP) or certified electrical supervisor/engineer with credentials to issue permits for energisation and oversee HV/LV operations.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in electrical project management, ideally on large-scale mission-critical or data centre builds.
Deep technical knowledge of large electrical systems, from design through installation to commissioning.
Familiar with LOTO, COHE, and permit-to-work systems in a high-risk environment.
Strong leadership, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Fluent in English; experience working on international teams a strong advantage.
