The need now exists for an experienced Civil/Structural Manager to join the team working on a Hyper-Scale Data Centre new build scheme in Dublin.
Responsibilities
Design and Structural Oversight: Lead the design and implementation of structural elements (foundations, slabs, walls, roofs) for data centre facilities. Ensure compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory standards while collaborating closely with architects and engineers to optimize the structural design.
Project Planning and Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of all civil and structural works, ensuring coordination across multiple teams (e.g., electrical, mechanical). Manage project timelines, budgets, and ensure alignment with the overall project goals.
Construction Supervision and Quality Control: Supervise the on-site civil and structural construction activities, conducting regular site inspections and reviewing contractor work to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications. Implement best practices and construction codes.
Compliance with Regulatory Standards and Safety Codes: Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Collaborate with regulatory authorities to secure the necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify and manage risks related to the civil and structural aspects of the project, including ground conditions and unforeseen site challenges. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and resolve issues promptly to ensure the project's successful completion.
