Design Engineer – Dublin – Various Projects

Our client is a €500m turnover, multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake large turnkey projects for blue-chip clientele, in Europe the focus is on Data Centres and similar tech-focussed projects. In Ireland they operate as more of a generalist main contractor working across a variety of industry sectors including healthcare / hospitals, residential, education and industrial  
Due to a recent project win, our client is now seeking a Design Engineer in Dublin.

Responsibilities

•    System Design & Detailing:
Develop detailed design drawings and technical specifications for external cladding and curtain walling systems in accordance with architectural and structural requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
•    Coordination with Stakeholders:
Liaise closely with architects, structural engineers, façade consultants, and contractors to coordinate design solutions, resolve technical issues, and ensure seamless integration of the façade systems into the overall building envelope.
•    Material Selection & Performance Analysis:
Conduct analysis and selection of appropriate materials and system components based on structural performance, thermal efficiency, acoustic performance, fire safety, and sustainability criteria.
•    Site Support & Technical Guidance:
Provide ongoing technical support to site teams during installation, including responding to RFIs, resolving design queries, and carrying out site inspections to ensure compliance with approved designs.
•    Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all design outputs adhere to local building codes, health and safety regulations, and project-specific façade performance standards, while maintaining accurate documentation and revision control throughout the design process.

Requirements

Experience on external cladding systems and curtain walling systems is advantageous
Must have 5+ Years’ experience in a similar role
Must live in or within a commutable distance of Dublin

€90,000-€95,000 + Package
