Our client, a leading High-Tech facilities contractor specialising in delivering high-quality solutions for complex projects, with dedication to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction is in need of an experienced EHS Manager. As Environment, Health & Safety Manager, your duties will include developing, implementing, and overseeing environment, health, and safety programs across projects. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in construction safety and dedication to ensuring a secure working environment, and the capability to lead a team in achieving safety objectives. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:     

  • Lead the development of Environment, Health, & Safety leadership & culture in the workplace. 

  • Ensure full compliance with local and national Environment, Health, and Safety legislation and best practices. 

  • Develop project-specific environment, health & safety strategies, programs, and plans. 

  • Coordinate environment, health, and safety program elements addressing site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency arrangements. 

  • Coordinate and manage on-site environment, health, and safety resources. 

  • Establish a process of active environment, health, and safety monitoring through audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities. 

  • Monitor and report on environment, health, and safety performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging environment, health, and safety performance indicators. 

  • Influence employee work practices through dialogue, relationship building and behavioural safety coaching. 

  • Ensure appropriate and effective emergency response, case management, incident investigation and reporting mechanisms are in place to facilitate learning from incidents (LFI).  

  • Attend meetings regularly & contribute to the best of your knowledge.  

  • Degree/ qualifications in Health and Safety Management.  

  • Updated understanding and knowledge of environment, health, and safety principles with proven technical skills in occupational safety and health disciplines. 

  • Proven years of experience in EHS roles within large scale construction projects. 

  • Strong knowledge of updated environment, health, and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.  

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels. 

  • Proficiency in EHS software & tools.
