Electrical Commissioning Engineer | Sweden | Critical Infrastructure Projects

A leading international contractor delivering large-scale data centre and high-tech infrastructure projects across Europe is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join its project team in Sandviken, Sweden. This is a full-time position offering the chance to work on one of Europe’s most high-profile data centre builds within a structured and supportive commissioning environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical commissioning, a keen eye for detail, and experience in complex electrical systems including LV/MV equipment, UPS systems, and BMS controls. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring all systems are tested, commissioned, and documented to the highest standards, contributing directly to the safe and timely delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee commissioning activities for electrical vendors and subcontractors on site
• Ensure all commissioning tasks are completed in line with project scope and compliance requirements
• Track progress against commissioning milestones and report regularly to management
• Review, manage, and track vendor commissioning documentation and test records
• Witness FATs, FWTs, and all critical testing procedures as needed
• Conduct daily commissioning inspections, tagging procedures, and sign-off activities
• Interface with QA/QC and Approved Person teams to ensure documentation and procedures align
• Support internal and vendor meetings to resolve issues and keep commissioning on schedule
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and drive a culture of quality and compliance on site

What You’ll Bring:

• Electrical Engineering degree, Building Services qualification, or certified electrical trade background
• At least 3 years’ experience in electrical commissioning on industrial or mission-critical projects
• Hands-on experience with LV/MV electrical systems, UPS units, switchgear, and controls
• Excellent knowledge of electrical testing, verification standards, and commissioning best practices
• Familiarity with data centre, pharmaceutical, or complex commercial environments is an advantage
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage subcontractors and documentation workflows
• Safety-first mindset and knowledge of quality assurance and EHS procedures
