Electrical Construction Manager - Data Centres – Groningen, Netherlands

Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier:1 main contractors involved in ‘technology’ schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects.  
 

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join their European Data Centre team based on a hyper-scale data centre build in Groningen, Netherlands

Responsibilities to include:

• Supporting the Project Manager managing, supervising and leading site personnel
• Ensuring employees have the relevant training & expertise to execute their assigned duties
• Managing site labour resources ensuring efficiency
• Planning labour and material resources and managing subcontractor labour hours.
• Management of subbie activities including tracking progress against work schedules.
• Implementation of the project quality plan ensuring that all snags are closed out
• Involvement in project handovers to client, supporting the close out of specific items
• Ensuring works are completed as per project scope, with any additional works or changes requested are approved by the Project Manager

Qualifications / Skills:

• Proven track record in the electrical contracting space, with at least 5 years in a construction management position
• Previous experience in Data Centre construction projects would be ideal (but not essential)
• Trade or Degree qualified in an electrical or electrical discipline.
• Strong management skills, with the ability to motivate the company team as well as the management of subcontractors on site.
