Our client is an established main contractor working across Europe specialising in the delivery of construction and engineering projects on behalf of global blue-chip clients. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction, and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning works.      

The need now exists for an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test electrical systems and components to ensure required specifications and standards are met.   

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:    

  • Responsible for electrical design review identifying design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications.  

  • Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay.  

  • Update and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the electrical construction schedule.  

  • Review the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance.  

  • Complete electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings.  

  • Develop and execute test plans to evaluate the performance and reliability of electrical systems and components.  

  • Oversee quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship and reliability.  

  • Ensure that all electrical work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment on-site.  

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.  

  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering within the mechanical and electrical contracting environment.  

  • Proficient in Navisworks, database systems related to engineering functions, project /primavera planning software, and CAD/BIM process.  

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, materials, and relevant codes and standards.  

  • Effective communication skills in Spanish is an advantage. 

  • Attention to detail with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
