Our client, a top-tier engineering contractor specialising in delivering high-quality services for a variety of industries, is in need of an experienced Electrical Planning Lead to join and lead the successful planning and execution of electrical projects. As Electrical Planning Lead, you will oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all electrical activities. As an ideal candidate, you have extensive experience in electrical project planning, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of electrical systems and construction processes. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Develop comprehensive project schedules for electrical installations, ensuring all activities are logically sequenced and aligned with overall project timelines.  

  • Act as the primary contact between the electrical team and other project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines ensuring that all parties are informed of project progress and any changes to the schedule. 

  • Identify potential scheduling risks and conflicts and develop mitigation strategies to eliminate/minimise project delays while proactively addressing any issues that could impact the timely completion of electrical tasks. 

  • Monitor the progress of electrical activities against the project schedule, identifying any deviations and implementing corrective actions, as necessary. 

  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients. 

  • Ensure that all electrical planning activities comply with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.  

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering/Project Management or related field. 

  • Proven years of experience in electrical project planning, leading the planning team and managing complex projects. 

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and project planning methodologies. 

  • Proficiency in planning and scheduling software. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
