To £70,000 DOE + Package We are assisting a leading engineering contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK, Ireland, and Europe in their search for an experienced Project Engineer for a Power and Renewables project. As Electrical Project Engineer you will oversee the design, installation, and execution of electrical systems installations up to 400kV. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, project management skills, and the ability to ensure that electrical systems are safe, reliable, and meet project specifications. Key Responsibilities & Requirements: Develop designs, specifications, and drawings for all aspects of HV and LV system. Coordinate with the project management team, design team, and contractors for seamless installations and commissioning activities. Prepare and review technical drawings, electrical schematics, and design documentation. Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. Review and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and specifications providing technical guidance and support to project teams and contractors. Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring timely & efficient progress monitoring project performance, identifying, and addressing any issues or delays. Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges encountered during construction, testing, and commissioning activities. Prepare accurate and updated project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project close-out documents. Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations including obtaining necessary permits and certifications for installations. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 2+ years' experience in Electrical Project Engineering role within industrial installation projects. Strong understanding of HV & MV systems, power distribution, control systems, and renewable technologies in industrial settings. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant electrical design software. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Strong knowledge of QEHS best practices.
