Electrical QA/QC Lead – Data Centre Project – London

Our client is a well-established and expanding M&E subcontractor with a strong presence across commercial, pharmaceutical, and data centre projects in the UK and Europe.

Due to continued growth and the award of a high-profile data centre project in London, we are now seeking an experienced Electrical QAQC Lead to join the on-site delivery team. This is a permanent role offering long-term progression within a forward-thinking company committed to quality and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of electrical quality assurance and control across the project.
Ensure installations meet all relevant specifications, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
Review design documentation, materials, and installation procedures for compliance.
Develop and implement project-specific QAQC plans and inspection test procedures.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify the quality of works.
Manage the resolution of non-conformances and track corrective/preventive actions.
Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical systems including LV distribution, UPS, generators, and life safety systems.
Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, test results, certifications, and approvals.
Prepare detailed quality reports and support the continuous improvement of QAQC processes.

Requirements:

Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a QA/QC role within the M&E or construction sector.
Prior experience on data centre or similarly complex, high-specification projects is essential.
In-depth knowledge of relevant electrical codes and quality management systems.
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication/reporting skills.
