HSE Advisor – Data Centre - Netherlands

Our client is a €1.5bn turnover, multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join their Netherlands team.

Responsibilities

•    Site Compliance Monitoring
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies, client standards, and legal HSE regulations specific to mission-critical construction.
•    Permit to Work & High-Risk Activities Oversight
Manage and review permits for high-risk operations (e.g. electrical works, hot works, confined spaces), ensuring safe systems of work are in place and followed.
•    Incident Investigation & Reporting
Lead investigations into near misses, unsafe acts, and incidents, producing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
•    Training & Safety Briefings
Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and task-specific HSE training to operatives, subcontractors, and visitors, with a focus on promoting proactive safety behaviours.
•    Environmental Management & Sustainability
Support the implementation of environmental controls, including waste management, pollution prevention, and energy use tracking, in alignment with project sustainability goals.

Requirements
•    Relevant third level degree qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
•    3+ years’ experience on large construction sites (Data Centres would be a significant advantage)
•    Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
•    Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.

Benefits

€65,000-€75,000 + Full rotational package
