HSE Advisor – Hyperscale Data Centre Project – Denmark
A top-tier European main contractor, specialising in the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical projects, is seeking a committed and experienced HSE Advisor to join its expanding team in Denmark. This role supports a high-value hyperscale data centre development and is essential to maintaining world-class safety and environmental standards on site.
You’ll be joining a dynamic team working on one of Europe’s most technically advanced builds, with long-term project visibility and a strong culture of safety leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular health, safety, and environmental audits, inspections, and risk assessments in line with local Danish regulations and corporate HSE standards.
Manage and review Permit to Work systems for high-risk activities such as hot works, confined spaces, electrical isolation, and working at height.
Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, producing detailed reports with corrective and preventive action plans.
Deliver clear and engaging site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing HSE training sessions to operatives, subcontractors, and visitors.
Monitor environmental performance including waste segregation, pollution control, and energy efficiency as part of the project’s sustainability goals.
Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging regularly with all project stakeholders and supporting site leadership in behavioural safety initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
Degree-qualified in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or similar.
3+ years of HSE experience on large construction projects (mission-critical or data centre experience strongly preferred).
Strong knowledge of EU and Danish safety legislation and environmental compliance frameworks.
Capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-contractor environment with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Fluent English required; experience in international or multicultural teams is a plus.
