Intermediate Quantity Surveyor- Central London

Our client, one of the UK's leading Specialist Contractors, with over £220 million turnover is actively looking for a dedicated Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Central London. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the contractual and financial aspects of the projects, ensuring they are completed within the budget and in line with contractual agreements. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:   

  • Generate a comprehensive project budget based on project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.  

  • Lead the cost planning and management for projects, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control measures.  

  • Provide accurate and informed reporting on the project's cost performance.  

  • Manage the preparation and evaluation of subcontract packages, contributing to interim and final valuations.  

  • Review and analyse contracts and identify key terms, conditions and obligations related to cost management.  

  • Work closely with project teams and engineers to process and specify cost estimates and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.  

  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including contract conditions, bills of quantities, and subcontractor packages.  

  • Provide regular cost reports, providing project managers and stakeholders/senior management with insights into cost performance.  

  • Carry out effective cost control measures to monitor project expenditures and identify potential issues and present reliable solutions.  

  • Join in project meetings, providing expertise and insights on cost management issues and strategies.  

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.  

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within Fit-out/Refurbishment. 

  • Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.  

  • Proficiency in cost estimation and financial management software.  

  • Attention to detail and prominent level of accuracy.  

  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.  

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
