Mechanical Site Supervisor –Data Centre Projects – Sweden
 

An international engineering contractor with a growing European presence is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join a long-term project in Sweden. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional ready to lead and coordinate site-based mechanical works on large-scale, technically demanding construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise mechanical installations on-site, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Manage site operatives and ensure tasks are delegated and completed according to project plans and deadlines.
• Monitor safety practices on-site, promoting a strong safety-first culture and adherence to method statements and risk assessments.
• Coordinate directly with subcontractors, trades, and logistics teams to streamline workflows and resolve bottlenecks.
• Maintain daily logs and reporting for site activities, productivity, and any issues encountered.
• Participate in site meetings and updates with project management to communicate progress and resource needs.
• Provide technical support to site personnel, ensuring correct interpretation of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
• Ensure areas are completed to handover standard and maintain quality workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the mentoring and development of trade teams to build capability and performance on-site.

Candidate Profile:

• Senior Trades qualification (Pipefitter/Plumber/Mechanical Craftsperson) or equivalent technical background.
• 5+ years of experience supervising mechanical installations on-site within data centres, industrial, or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, process piping, utilities, and building services systems.
• Confident in interpreting mechanical drawings and coordinating multiple work packages.
• Skilled in team leadership, site coordination, and health & safety compliance.
• Excellent communicator and team player, able to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English; European experience or multilingual ability is an advantage.
