To €130,000 DOE + Excellent Package We are partnered with a leading Design and Build Main Contractor with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries dedicated to ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability. Due to continued growth, we are now urgently looking for an experienced and detail-oriented MEP Design Manager to lead the design and coordination of MEP systems of a high-profile Data Centre/Critical Infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the MEP design process from concept to completion, ensuring designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities & Requirements: Manage and oversee the design of MEP systems ensuring they meet all technical and functional requirements. Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other design team members to ensure MEP systems are fully integrated into the overall building design ensuring design conflicts are resolved for smooth coordination between disciplines. Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding MEP design aspects, attend meetings, provide technical advice, and address any design-related queries or concerns. Ensure that all designs comply with regulations, building codes, and industry standards implementing best practices in sustainability, energy efficiency, and safety. Lead design review meetings, ensuring that MEP systems are developed in line with the project scope, budget, and timeline. Manage relationships with external MEP consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring that designs are delivered on time and meet the necessary quality and specifications. Work closely with the commercial team to ensure designs are cost-effective and align with the project budget optimising costs while maintaining performance and safety standards. Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design reports ensuring that all documentation is kept up to date and is accessible to the relevant teams. Identify potential risks or challenges in the MEP design process and work with the project team to resolve them making sure that all designs are robust and reliable. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering. Proven years’ experience in MEP Design Management, with a focus on Data Centre/Critical Infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of MEP systems design, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and sustainable design principles. Familiarity with building information modelling (BIM) and related software such as CAD programs and Revit. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to address design challenges and propose effective solutions. Strong attention to detail, ensuring that MEP designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
