Operations Manager- Germany 

To €160,000 DOE + Full Rotational Package 

We are assisting a leading provider of innovative prefabricated MEP solutions, serving a wide range of industries including hotels, residential, data centres and pharmaceutical sectors. Due to continued growth, the organisation is in need of a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery teams across a portfolio of Data Centre projects primarily in Frankfurt, Germany. As Operations Manager you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects and will manage teams, optimise workflows, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency. 

  • Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of £25M+ in data centre projects annually, managing 4 to 5 active projects simultaneously. 

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to align project schedules with business objectives. 

  • Analyse existing operational processes and identify areas for improvement. Implement best practices to streamline operations and enhance service delivery. 

  • Strategic project planning, including the ability to forecast current capacity in relation to upcoming work, while analysing recruitment needs for professional development. 

  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs to assess operational efficiency. Regularly review and report on operational performance to senior management. 

  • Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets and implement cost-control measures, as necessary. 

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of quality products and services. 

  • Implement safety and quality control measures to mitigate risks and ensure that all operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.  

  • Prepare regular reports and analyses for senior management regarding operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. 

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably on major construction projects within the Data Centre Sector. 

  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a focus on employee development and performance management. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German, with the ability to effectively communicate with German team members, stakeholders, and customers. 

  • A comprehensive understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems would be beneficial.
