This is a key role within the finance function, responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing as the company continues to scale.

A growing and well-established engineering consultancy delivering complex pharmaceutical and life sciences projects is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of payroll operations across the business.
The Role
• Manage payroll for salaried and contract staff
• Ensure compliance with HMRC and UK legislation
• Manage pensions, benefits & statutory payments
• Liaise with HR and Finance teams
• Process starters, leavers, and salary adjustments
• Manage payroll audits and reporting
• Improve payroll systems and processes
• Support finance leadership with reporting and forecasting
Requirements
• Experience managing end-to-end payroll
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
• Experience with payroll systems (Sage, ADP, Iris or similar)
• Strong Excel capability
• High level of accuracy and confidentiality
• Experience in consultancy / engineering / construction environments beneficial
