Our client is an established Tier 1 contractor with extensive operations in Ireland, UK, and Europe. Due to a full order book across all regions, our client is now looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Lead for Data Centre projects. With extensive experience in data centre operations, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the technical and logistical aspects you will oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of data centre projects, from concept to completion. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:  

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans for data centre construction by creating and maintaining project schedules, ensuring that all activities are logically sequenced and aligned with overall project timelines.  

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently & meet the project demands.  

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all planning-related matters, facilitating communication between the project team, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders ensuring that all parties are informed of project status, changes, and critical milestones.  

  • Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact project timelines or budgets to eliminate/minimise delays and ensure the successful delivery of projects.  

  • Create a 4D graphical model and use 2D phasing plans to illustrate the construction sequence, phases, and logistics. 

  • Monitor the progress of data centre projects, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting relevant issues, risks, and corrective actions.  

  • Ensure that all planning and execution activities adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.  

  • Participate in meetings as required and contribute to the best of your knowledge.  

  • Degree/qualifications in Project Management or related field.  

  • Significant years of experience in project planning, managing large-scale projects, preferably Data Centres.  

  • Strong knowledge and experience in using Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, progress analysis & S-curve reporting. 

  • Good understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contracts. 

  • Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including HVAC systems.  

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on proactive risk management and issue resolution.
