A growing engineering and project delivery company is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to support its busy operations team. Based at the Loughton office, you’ll play a key role in material sourcing, supplier coordination, and procurement process optimisation across a variety of high-value construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with sourcing, pricing, and procuring materials in coordination with project teams and suppliers.
Use internal requisition systems to track orders, generate purchase documentation, and maintain procurement records.
Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries aligned with project timelines.
Liaise with engineers and contractors to confirm material specifications and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records of invoices and support finance in tracking payments and cost codes.
Support tendering and quotation processes, ensuring procurement data is accurate and accessible.
Help streamline supply chain activities, identifying surplus materials and managing delivery logistics.
Use project management and procurement software to support document control, safety records, and compliance monitoring.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth flow of procurement information and resources across departments.
Candidate Profile:
GCSE-level education in Maths and English (minimum), with further education a plus.
Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with Microsoft Project is an advantage.
Some prior experience in a procurement, administrative, or construction support role is desirable.
Clear communicator, proactive team player, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Keen attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, office-based environment with regular coordination across departments.
