Project Director
Our client is an established engineering & construction main contractor delivering new build data centre schemes across Northern & Central Europe. This organisation provides a full turnkey solution, constructing these facilities from the initial design phase through groundworks, structural build, M&E installation, fit-out, and final handover. Company turnover is currently €1.3bn, with continued growth of 10%–15% year-on-year.
The Programme / Director-Level Project Manager will play a critical strategic role in overseeing programme delivery, driving operational excellence, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is pivotal in providing leadership across multiple projects, managing senior stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, project directors, commercial and technical teams, and client representatives to ensure successful delivery of complex, mission-critical programmes.
• Provide strategic leadership across multiple high-value projects within the programme
• Oversee overall programme delivery, including design, construction, MEP, commissioning, and handover
• Manage senior multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, construction managers, and technical leads
• Develop, monitor, and report on programme budgets, cash flow, and financial performance
• Drive operational excellence, ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for programme delivery
• Chair senior leadership and client review meetings, providing clear, timely reporting on progress, risks, and opportunities
• Ensure consistent risk management, mitigation, and issue resolution across the programme
• Support commercial strategy, including subcontractor management, procurement, and contract administration
• Oversee integrated scheduling, coordination, and interface management between projects and teams
• Promote a culture of collaboration, safety, and high performance across all levels of the programme
