Our client is an established engineering & construction main contractor delivering new build data centre schemes across Northern & Central Europe. This organisation provides a full turnkey solution, constructing these facilities from the initial design phase through groundworks, structural build, M&E installation, fit-out, and final handover. Company turnover is currently €1.3bn, with continued growth of 10%–15% year-on-year.

Due to continued expansion, the requirement now exists for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join the project team delivering a major Data Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in the design, technical review, and coordination of all high- and low-voltage electrical systems on site. This position is pivotal in ensuring all electrical works are designed, installed, and commissioned to meet project requirements, client standards, and regulatory compliance within a complex, mission-critical environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with project management, commissioning teams, SAPs, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure robust technical solutions are implemented and electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
•   Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise for all electrical systems on site
•   Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and specifications
•   Coordinate interfaces between electrical, mechanical, and BMS/EPMS systems
•   Support the project SAPs and commissioning team during energisation and testing
•   Identify and resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning phases
•   Perform site inspections and technical audits to ensure compliance with design intent and standards
•   Ensure adherence to electrical codes, regulations, and project-specific requirements
•   Support risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
•   Collaborate with clients and contractors to provide technical guidance and problem resolution
•   Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports, and records for project handover
•   Mentor junior engineers and support the development of engineering teams
