Senior Electrical Project Engineer

Our client is an established engineering & construction main contractor delivering new build data centre schemes across Northern & Central Europe. This organisation provides a full turnkey solution, constructing these facilities from the initial design phase through groundworks, structural build, M&E installation, fit-out, and final handover. Company turnover is currently €1.3bn, with continued growth of 10%–15% year-on-year.

Due to continued expansion, the requirement now exists for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join the project team delivering a €600m+ hyperscale Data Centre in Finland.
The Senior Electrical Project Engineer will play a key role in leading the delivery of complex electrical systems across the project, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications, programme requirements, and client standards. This role will involve coordinating electrical subcontractors, managing technical interfaces, and supporting the project through installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover within a highly complex, mission-critical environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with project management, design teams, commissioning engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all electrical systems are delivered to the highest quality, safety, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate all electrical installation activities across designated project areas
• Manage electrical subcontractors to ensure works are delivered in line with programme and quality standards
• Review electrical drawings, technical submittals, and design documentation for compliance and constructability
• Oversee installation of key electrical infrastructure including MV/LV systems, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and power distribution
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, safety procedures, and industry best practices
• Coordinate closely with mechanical, civil, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration of systems
• Monitor progress against project schedules and provide regular updates to senior project management
• Support commissioning activities including system testing, energisation planning, and troubleshooting
• Manage inspection and test documentation to ensure compliance with project QA/QC processes
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain programme delivery
• Assist in resolving complex technical issues and providing engineering guidance to site teams
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all electrical works on site
