Our client is an established engineering & construction main contractor delivering new build data centre schemes across Northern & Central Europe. This organisation provides a full turnkey solution, constructing these facilities from the initial design phase through groundworks, structural build, M&E installation, fit-out, and final handover. Company turnover is currently €1.3bn, with continued growth of 10%–15% year-on-year.
Due to continued expansion, the requirement now exists for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join the project team delivering a €500m+ Data Centre in Sweden.
The Electrical Commissioning Engineer will play a critical role in executing and verifying the energisation, testing, and commissioning of high- and low-voltage electrical systems within the facility. This position is pivotal in ensuring all systems operate safely, reliably, and in line with design and client requirements, supporting the successful handover of mission-critical infrastructure.
The successful candidate will work closely with project management, SAPs, commissioning leads, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all electrical systems are tested, documented, and handed over in full compliance with technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
•   Carry out energisation, testing, and commissioning of HV and LV electrical systems
•   Execute commissioning procedures in line with project specifications and client requirements
•   Support the preparation of commissioning plans, sequences, and test documentation
•   Collaborate with SAPs and project teams to ensure safe isolation and energisation of electrical systems
•   Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions
•   Verify protection systems, switchgear, transformers, and distribution boards are operating correctly
•   Support factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) and final commissioning activities
•   Maintain accurate commissioning records, as-built documentation, and test certificates
•   Liaise with client representatives and provide technical guidance on electrical commissioning matters
•   Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, site procedures, and statutory regulations
•   Contribute to handover packs and operational documentation for client acceptance
